"His name was Guilhem Bélibaste, he was the last of the Cathars". This story, worthy of an adventure novel or a historical film, has all the attractions of a plot with multiple twists and turns. At the same time, it is a story of faith, love, friendship, betrayal, family and trials. It allows us to better understand the influence and dissidence of the Cathars, these "good men" or "perfect", lovers of God, and their divisive vision of Catholicism. The Inquisition ended up eradicating them. Guilhem was burned alive in 1321 in Villerouge-Termenès.
